[Provisional Proposal] BSN Allocation for Stakehouse LSD Network Testnet Users

Introduction

Blockswap has a history of rewarding anybody who engages with its protocols in a positive way. This provisional proposal is to allocate up to 10,000,000 BSN tokens from the Blockswap DAO treasury to Stakehouse LSD Network testnet participants. The testnet provided users a valuable opportunity to interact with the Stakehouse LSD Networks in a sandbox environment prior to the mainnet launch. By rewarding these participants, the DAO can encourage their continued engagement and support during the governance process.

Objective

The primary goal of this proposal is to reward the valuable contributions of Stakehouse LSD Network testnet participants. These users provided essential testing data and insights, as well as demonstrated a strong understanding of Stakehouse LSD Networks. Providing BSN as a reward to these individuals should help maintain their engagement and active participation in Blockswap DAO’s governance process and protocols.

The proposal is looking to set tokens aside for testnet participants. This does not mean that all tokens must be distributed for this purpose.

Motivation

Acknowledging the efforts of the testnet participants is crucial for fostering a strong and dedicated community. These users had hands-on experience with the Stakehouse LSD Network functionalities and user interface, making them an essential resource for the DAO.

Implementation

  • Allocate up to 10,000,000 BSN tokens from the DAO treasury to a holding contract designated for the Stakehouse LSD Network testnet participants. All 10,000,000 do not need to be used.

  • Blockswap Labs will distribute the incentivized testnet NFTs. Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum NFTs, as well as the Special NFT.

  • The final snapshot for testnet participants is April 14, 2023 at 1pm PT to determine the eligible participants for the NFT distribution.

  • Another vote will take place on Snapshot to determine the distribution of the tokens to the NFT holders.

  • Further decisions and adjustments regarding BSN token distribution shall take place on Discord or this governance forum with voting via Snapshot.

  • Any unused tokens will be returned to the DAO treasury.

  • Blockswap Labs will be entrusted with all execution, implementation, communication, design, and everything else that goes with the campaign. This will be done to the best of their ability and contingent on what is technically and logically possible.

Conclusion

This provisional proposal seeks to reward the invaluable contributions of Stakehouse LSD Network testnet participants. By allocating BSN tokens as incentives, the DAO can maintain a strong and engaged community, ensuring the continued success of the Stakehouse protocol and Blockswap DAO.

Achieving a quorum for a proposal in the Blockswap DAO requires the participation of at least 200 million BSN tokens. However, due to the limited distribution of BSN tokens currently in circulation, reaching the necessary quorum may prove to be challenging. To address this, multiple proposals and temperature checks may advance to a vote simultaneously. This approach ensures that the proposals’ advancement generates enough community interest and engagement, rather than being hindered by the limited availability of BSN tokens.
