Mainnet Community Integration

Mainnet Community Integration

Summary

When creating a DAO, it is imperative to find self-aligned actors who value active participation in DAO governance and share a long-term vision. The initial Community Integration for Blockswap will focus on finding this community for Blockswap DAO. The DAO would like to issue up to 300,000,000 BSN tokens as Mainnet User Integration Rewards to onboard active protocol users.

Background

Communitynet participants helped Blockswap test the Stakehouse protocol in its very early stages. They have been invited to actively participate in governance. These users helped test the core contacts, but do not necessarily have experience with what Stakehouse has developed into for mainnet. DevNet participants have tested the Stakehouse protocol in its current form, but have not interacted on Ethereum mainnet.

Blockswap DAO would like to onboard those who develop an intimate knowledge of the Stakehouse mainnet protocol. These can be classified as Early Adopters. They will be considered users who participated and interacted with the Stakehouse protocol in Ethereum mainnet.

Motivation and Specification

Early Adopters will have a connection with the Stakehouse mainnet protocol. This primes them as candidates for Blockswap DAO membership. Therefore, the DAO would like to allocate up to 6% of BSN tokens to initial protocol users. This would be to integrate these users into the DAO.

The DAO is assigning Blockswap Labs to coordinate, fulfill, develop and deploy, the contracts for Community Integration. They will also relay detailing of the Early Adopter integration rewards prior to distribution.

Objective: Distribute up to 300,000,000 BSN to Early Adopters. Onboard DAO members who have the closest mission alignment with Blockswap Network and its first protocol.

Distribution

Up to 300,000,000 BSN tokens.

Early Adopters

This is vacillating as it is unknown how core users will utilize the Stakehouse middle layer technology. It could be any one or combination of options. Outlined below are categories for potential BSN token distribution.

Build a Base-layer for Sustainable Multichain ETH (DeFi with dETH) - These are users who have staked validators with Stakehouse, withdrew dETH, and made it available to those who can not afford a full validator.

Stakehouse Protocol Tooling - Stakehouse provides many abilities for users to maintain validators and manage assets. Although this is already beneficial for the user, it could be deemed appropriate to distribute BSN tokens to this group.

Solo Stakers - Being a public benefit tooling for the Ethereum network, Stakehouse is aligned with Ethereum’s objective of client diversity and node decentralization by placing solo stakers first. Incentivizing those who are personally decentralizing the network is the right thing to do for the long-term sustainability of the Stakehouse protocol. The more decentralized a network of operators, the more value-added benefits Blockswap can build.

Rollups and L2s - Align with Ethereum’s rollup-centric future by incentivizing the use of Gateways and helping Ethereum move away from bridges. This is an epochal moment in terms of multichain permissionless liquidity syndication and yield markets for staked ETH. This would utilize Stakehouse’s capabilities to onboard a vast amount of mainstream users to DeFi.

Conclusion

From the outset, Blockswap’s vision is to discover and nurture a value-based community for its long-term decentralized governance. The DAO is grateful to all supporters who helped to get an ossified protocol to mainnet. The immediate goal is to find optimal token holders to set a trajectory for Blockswap Network’s adoption, and prepare for its Growth Phase. To achieve this, the DAO is embarking on a value-based ecosystem framework closely aligned with the long-term mission of Blockswap Network and protocols.
