Proposal for Pol Lanski (Dappnode) to be a ZEC Council Representative
Yes, yes, the proposal for the ZEC hasn’t been passed yet, but I’m excited for it and I’d like to push my candidacy for it already. I do it in the hope that this proactivity might help people decide whether to vote or not for it by getting a feel of what comes next after they approve.
Name: Pol Lanski
Organization: Dappnode
Introduction:
Wassup, BlockswapDAO! Pol Lanski here. Been working with Dappnode to bring Stakehouse LSDs to all Dappnode users. Our mission at Dappnode is to enable anyone to become a solo staker without any technical knowledge, providing them with software, tools, and hardware for easy access to staking opportunities. Since 2018, our dedication to decentralization has led to thousands of people running nodes and validators via Dappnode, contributing to a more decentralized Ethereum network.
Let me run through the requirements to become a representative that are mentioned in the ZEC proposal forum post.
Involvement with Ethereum Staking and active in the Ethereum community:
As a representative of Dappnode, I have been actively involved in developing and distributing software and hardware solutions for Ethereum staking, which has resulted in thousands of validators joining the network. Our work has helped the Ethereum network become more decentralized by making it more accessible to a broader audience.
Personally, I am an active participant in the Ethereum community, particularly on Twitter, where I share information and updates about the importance of decentralization and how easy it is to contribute to the network by staking. My engagement with the community has helped raise awareness and encouraged more people to join the staking ecosystem. I also host the dOrg Hot Seat podcast.
Why joining the ZEC Council:
With my extensive knowledge of and experience with solo stakers, as well as my work developing tools and solutions for the Ethereum staking ecosystem, I believe that I would make an excellent addition to the ZEC Council. My expertise, connections within the ecosystem, and the broad network of Dappnode node runners can be leveraged to support the ZEC’s mission and bring more qualified validators to the network.
Additional Information:
I also participate in other informal staking groups like ETH Kipu, with the purpose of increasing the amount of validating nodes in geographically underrepresented areas. This project has massive synergies with the ZEC and would love to use ZEC to further the decentralization cause.
As a member of the ZEC Council, I would continue my work supporting decentralization and empowering solo stakers, providing valuable insights and expertise to help the Council achieve its objectives.
In conclusion, I am confident that my background and experience within the Ethereum ecosystem make me a strong candidate for the ZEC Council. My dedication to decentralization and empowering solo stakers aligns with the goals of the Zero ETH Club, and I am excited to contribute to its success.
