I propose the DAO hires a community member to be the administrator for the community to help onboard new stakeholders and support old/new stakeholders with any questions.
Here’s an initial outline.
#Responsibilities
*Community Support
Answer questions in Discord and help get each new and old community what they’re looking for.
Engage the community and help support the onboarding of new stakeholders.
Guiding users to take on grants or get active in the community
*Twitter Marketing Push
Weekly Post with updates and news of the community
Support / Guide Twitter Space conversations for the community
#Payment
This depends on the amount of work put in by the Community Admin. I suggest payment of $200 - $500 a month and this to be paid quarterly based on results from the last quarter.
The payment will be in BSN at the current market rate and contain a 12 month vesting period to decrease sell pressure.
At this time, I think that LootyBooty could be a great candidate for this role based on his current community support and long-term relationship with the DAO (aka tribal knowledge).
What does the community think about this? Thoughts on the responsibilities or payment? Any and all feedback will be appreciated.
Thank you KentPhilly for the write up.
Maybe I can share with the DAO my perspective on what I see myself doing as a community Moderation for Blockswap DAO:
The Core of the idea is to create a collective belief about something. In this case how Blockswap, Stakehouse and it’s tech is the best solution for Eth staking and restaking where people can feel connected to each other.
How would I try to achieve this:
Clear Communication: Regularly communicate the vision, mission, and values of Blockswap and Stakehouse to the community members. Ensure that everyone understands the benefits and advantages of the technology and how it aligns with their goals.
Engagement Initiatives: Organize engaging events, discussions, and activities within the community to foster interaction among members.
Community Feedback: Establish a feedback mechanism where community members can share their thoughts, suggestions, and concerns.
Incentive Programs: Implement incentive programs to reward active participation and contribution within the community.
To achieve this I do think we need to make a slight rework of the discord and how things happen. Right now it’s extremely proffesional. If we want to create more of a community feel we need to make it slighty more playful. So people are not only in the discord just for questions, we want to have interactions. A community is so diversed, we want to please degens, proffessionals, builders, etc.
Twitter:
Start by engaging in LSD, LRT, restaking etc posts. Comment + likes… We need to get our name out there.
Low key posting memes with references to StakeHouse
Retweet interesting takes about Eth staking/restaking
Following up on my previous message, I wanted to share some exciting news. I’ve taken the initiative to create a new Twitter account dedicated to promoting Blockswap and Stakehouse, as well as engaging with various communities within the crypto space. The account will feature daily posts, interactions with different groups, and sharing relevant content to spread awareness about our technology and values.
I kindly ask for your support in this endeavor. Please follow the account and help amplify our message by liking, commenting, and retweeting. Your involvement will greatly contribute to our visibility and outreach efforts.
As I continue to work towards fostering a vibrant community atmosphere, I believe having moderation powers on various platforms, including discord, will be essential. This will enable me to maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants and address any issues promptly.
For my role as a community manager, I propose a monthly incentive of $400-$500, which includes covering the membership fee for a verified Twitter account. This investment will not only support my efforts but also align with the value I aim to bring to the DAO.
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to deepen my involvement with the DAO and contribute to its growth and success. Thank you for considering my proposal, and I look forward to collaborating with all of you.
Just to clarify, part of your responsibilities will include moderating Discord, including responding to incidents like scam messages, spam, configuring auto-mod rules and other settings to better help the community stay safe, etc?
I am in favor and think this the Discord has been needing better moderation for some time now.
Yes defenitly. I think this is a very urgent issue. Start cleaning up the server, setting up good protection bots and correct moderation systems. The safety of our members is my responsibility.
The Grants Council has agreed to fund 6 months of community management led by Lootybooty.
